Police Are Investigating An 14-Year-Old Boy Who Di*d After “Injecting Himself With Butterfly Remains Mixed With Water”

As part of an odd internet challenge, a 14-year-old boy is thought to have died after injecting himself with water and butterfly remnants.

After his health abruptly declined and he started throwing up, 14-year-old Davi Nunes Moreira passed away in a hospital in Planalto, Brazil.

After developing a limp, he initially told his father that he had injured himself while playing.

Davi reportedly informed doctors that when his illness deteriorated, he went to a pharmacist, mixed a dead butterfly with water, and then injected the mixture into his leg.

The tragedy, which may have been caused by toxins in the mixture that put Davi in septic shock and forced his body to shut down, is still in the news in Brazil.

Police have opened an inquiry into the claims and whether they were part of a strange online challenge, and they are currently awaiting the full post-mortem results.

Although Davi is reported to have denied it prior to his passing, some Brazilian media outlets were openly speculating that he had discovered an experiment he had seen online.

Last Wednesday, Davi passed away in a hospital in Bahia, a state in northeastern Brazil.

The investigation into Davi’s death is being led by the Vitoria da Conquista Civil Police.

“The autopsy results will help clarify the cause of death,” a force spokesperson stated.

“The investigation is designed to clear up what happened.”

According to local accounts, Davi’s father was cleaning the house when he discovered the syringe his son used to inject himself under his pillow.

“Butterflies have a complex biology, and the fluids present in their bodies have not been studied in depth in terms of their toxicity to humans,” stated Professor Marcelo Duarte, a specialist in butterflies and the director of Sao Paulo University’s Zoology Museum.

In reality, the milkweed that monarch butterflies consume as caterpillars contains a toxic substance that is stored in their bodies.

Although specialists have quickly noted that the amount of these toxins tends to be too little to pose a severe harm to human health, this is what gives the monarch butterfly its awful taste to predators.

“This generation is complicated and needs a lot of care,” Gabriel Moreth remarked online in response to rumors that Davi had been experimenting or participating in an online challenge.

“They believe in lots of things online, challenges, videos.”

“Rest in peace, how his family must be suffering.”

Social media user Valderiza Guedes added: “They could do an investigation on his social media networks.”

“Some of the things you see online are madness and spine-chilling.”

An internet influencer from Brazil almost needed to have her limb amputated last April after participating in a foolish viral fad for her two million followers.

After standing in a pail of salt and ice for an internet “dare” that turned her feet black and almost necessitated the amputation of her toes, “Thammy MC” was rendered unable to walk.

“We spent 15 minutes with our feet on the ice with coarse salt,” she said, recounting the horror.

“When I took my foot out I never felt such pain in my life. Three of my toes had turned black when it came out of the ice bucket.”

At the clinic where Thammy received treatment, she was informed that she was susceptible to thrombosis and that if she had stayed in the ice for one more minute, she might have had necrosis.

She claimed that because she is unable to exert any pressure on her feet, her mother now pushes her from room to room while dragging her in a garden chair.
