Officially, Al Roker will become a grandfather!

Sky Clara Laga, the couple’s first child, was born on Monday, July 3 and Courtney Roker Laga, 36, the daughter of Today co-anchor and weatherman, and her husband, Wesley Laga, are overjoyed to share the news.

The co-hosts of Al’s show revealed the startling details first thing on Tuesday morning.

The first-time grandfather said that his daughter and her family were doing well and that he “couldn’t be happier” about the birth of his granddaughter. He’ll now be referred to as Pop-Pop.

On Wednesday morning, Al shared a number of photos of Sky the Baby with his Instagram followers.

Courtney delightedly informed her loved ones that she will give birth to her first kid in March.

The video’s Instagram caption read, “A new adventure is about to begin.”

Back then, she told Today that they were “extremely excited to welcome a new member into our family and start this next chapter in our lives.” We are ecstatically grateful and eagerly anticipating our small miracle.

Al joined the rest of his daughter and son-in-law’s family and friends for the baby shower that was held in June in honor of the couple’s second wedding anniversary.

“These two got married exactly two years ago today. Our celebration of their daughter’s impending arrival took place today. “I hardly can wait!” The delighted future grandfather wrote captions for a number of photos from the occasion.
