Luke Bryan’s wife Caroline Bryan shared her thoughts on a school shooting that happened on Monday and left the Nashville neighborhood in ruins on social media on Tuesday (March 28). (March 27.)
Six individuals perished in the massacre that occurred at the Covenant School, a private Christian elementary school in the Green Hills area, including three students who were nine years old and three teachers and staff members who were adults. Police officers that arrived on the site in response to the shooting fired shots that ultimately proved fatal to the shooter, Audrey Hale, who is 28 years old.
In her statement, Caroline stressed the pain and sorrow she shares with all of the other parents as they face the anxiety of sending their kids off to school every morning. Caroline talked as a mother. She appeared to be speaking for all parents when she spoke.
Bo, who is 15 years old, and Tate, who is 12 years old, are both raised by Caroline. Caroline, a mother, stated, “I jump in the vehicle with my sons every morning and we always say our morning prayers. She and her famous husband adopted their three now-adult nieces and nephews after their biological parents, Bryan’s sister and her husband, passed away.
She said, “I immediately say another prayer to keep the kids safe from any harm as soon as they get out of the car at school…and my head is always thinking about a shooting.” It is inconceivable that parents, instructors, students, and anybody else employed at a school should have to report to work every day concerned about being shot. I constantly pray that God will protect the children from any harm that may come their way. There has to be a change in some way. Now.”
A photo of the Covenant School and a quote from Psalms chapter 34 verse 18 were also included in Caroline’s article. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit,” the Bible said.
She reflected, “There is a void in the soul of Nashville. “What these parents and innocent children are going through, and what they will go through for the rest of their lives, is incomprehensible.”
Many country music artists, including Bryan, have resorted to social media in the wake of the tragedy to express their astonishment, anguish, and indignation. Among the many musicians that have voiced their perspectives on the subject are Reba McEntire, Carly Pearce, Randy Houser, Sheryl Crow, and Brothers Osborne.
