Artist Erich Anderson has died after a long battle with cancer.
He was 67 years old.
Saxon Trainor’s wife gave her fans an emotional update on social media. She is married to the actor who plays Felicity.
Erich played Felicity’s dad in the comedy with the same name. He has also played scary characters like Rob Dier in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
The star hadn’t been in the spotlight in years because he was sick. His most recent movie was the 2020 short film Those Who Wait.
Saxon wrote on Instagram that she knew the sad news.
“My husband Erich died this morning,” she wrote.
“I am sharing my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley’s words as I am too bereft now to write anything.”
It was Michael who added his thoughts to Saxon’s post.
“My brother in law Erich Anderson passed this morning after a brutal struggle with cancer,” he told me.
Michael then named a number of Erich’s accomplishments that spanned his long and successful career.
“He was on that old show 30 something; he was Felicity’s father on ‘Felicity;’ he was killed in a basement in a Friday the 13th movie,” Michael said.
FAMILY MAN
He also said that Erich had a part in Star Trek and then talked more about his personal life.
“He wrote three great books that you can find on Amazon. He was smart, funny, and a great cook.”
“I’ll miss him, but his trouble is over,” the post ended.
There were a lot of sad comments from fans of the star for Saxon and her family.
