A lot of people are saying nice things about Dawn Hollyoak, the Great British Bake Off star who died suddenly at age 61.

Dawn was on the popular baking show in 2022. Her family confirmed that she died with her family by her side.

The sixth baker to leave the tent was the “wonderfully talented” grandmother.

In a heartbreaking statement, her family said, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our star baker Dawn.”

“She is not only a very good baker, but also a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.”

“Dawn died peacefully with her family by her side.” We will always miss her, but we promise to keep up her baking tradition.

Family and friends did not say when or how the grandmother died.

Lots of people are now saying nice things about Dawn. She has been called a “lovely lady.”

One of the show’s judges, Paul Hollywood, sent his condolences.

He said: “I’m so sorry to hear that, send my love to the family a lovely lady x.”

The judges gave Dawn high marks for her baked goods before she was kicked off during Halloween Week on episode 6.

The grandmother said that the show was “the most amazing experience” as she left the tent.

Carole Edwards, another contestant, also said nice things about Dawn.

She wrote, “I will miss my friend so much. She is a beautiful and talented woman on the inside and out. Fly high, friend. Life will not be the same without you.” Putting all my love out to your family. “Xx.”

“We never did get to make them koupes Dawn,” said George Aristidou, another contestant.

“I’m so sorry to hear this terrible news. I’m sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with your family and friends.

The winner of the show in 2021, Giuseppe Dell’Anno, said, “This is terrible news.”

“I only met Dawn once, but her happy personality and smile made me feel like I knew her for a long time.”

“She will be sorely missed, but will live in the heart of those who loved her forever.”

The Great British Bake Off showed a profile of Dawn when she was cooking.

It said she was the oldest of three children, a mother of three, a stepmother of two, and a grandmother or stepgrandmother of four.

The post said, “Dawn calls herself an artist both in and out of the kitchen. She loves the challenge of an illusion cake—the more impossible-sounding, the better—favoring wacky and intricate designs that let her show off her artistic skills.”
