Yasmine Bleeth has led a life that is remarkably different from the one she lived in the public eye since donning the now-iconic red swimsuit on the television program “Baywatch” almost 20 years ago.
This Monday, a picture of the 51-year-old former beauty queen strolling her dog in Southern California showed that she had undergone a nearly complete transformation.
Born and raised in New York City, Bleeth made her acting debut at the age of 10 months in a commercial for Johnson & Johnson’s No More Tears shampoo. She had a number of appearances in soap operas while still a teenager, including one called “Ryan’s Hope,” but it was her part as Caroline Holden in the television series “Baywatch,” which also starred Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, that gave her a well-known name.

Bleeth rushed across the dunes from 1993 to 1997 before transitioning to the popular television series “Nash Bridges,” starring Don Johnson, where she appeared from 1996 to 2001.
She has claimed that the turbulent nature of her relationship with “21 Jump Street” actor Richard Grieco was the cause of her rising drug use. In order to receive treatment for her cocaine addiction, she checked herself into the Opulent Promises clinic in Malibu in 2000. There, she first met her future husband, strip club proprietor Paul Cerrito.

Following allegations that he had used cocaine, Bleeth was arrested in Detroit the following year.
Bleeth pleaded guilty to the possession and driving while intoxicated charges, and as a result, he was sentenced to two years of probation.

In an essay that appeared in Glamour (through People) in April 2003, Bleeth discussed her battle with heroin addiction in detail. She admitted in the essay that she had been awake for five days straight after fainting once during a photo session.

Bleeth declared that staying away from drugs has always been a significant aspect of his life.
