Faith Hill struggled to contain her tears as she paid tribute to the late country music singer after Loretta Lynn passed away on October 4th.
Tim McGraw, the star of 1883, appeared on stage with her at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville to celebrate Loretta’s extraordinary life. At the age of 90, Loretta died away peacefully at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
A star-studded crowd gathered to mourn the late singer at CMT’s Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Loretta Lynn, which aired on Sunday.

While speaking about Loretta and their friendship, Faith found it difficult to control her tears multiple times, and her husband consoled her.
We are grateful and honored to be here, not far from where our loving friendship began, she added. “And to celebrate this remarkable woman’s great life.
The difficulties and joys of being a wife and mother were openly discussed by Loretta. She sung songs about having children and not having children, lying, and cheating.

Religion persisted. She had no fear and was immensely proud of her identity, upbringing, and way of life. She not only pushed the boundaries for women in country music, but she also obliterated them.
She allowed us this daring new room to seek our own routes to dream and soar into the music we produce, the careers we have, and the lives we lead. She was always wonderful to us all, polite, and helpful. Everyone in this room has a story they could tell. She was really smart and amusing.

Trying to hold back her tears, Faith responded, “I am honored to have been in your company, Loretta. I am grateful for the many memories I have of us.
“I’m honored to have the chance to travel the artistic path you paved for us all. Being a female in country music makes me proud.
