Missy Robertson has sent an update and some new pictures of Mia Robertson, who had cleft palate surgery in March. She also shared a number of images from the Duck Dynasty family’s Easter gatherings.
Missy shared the first images of Mia following the procedure. The teenager underwent her fourteenth cleft palate procedure.
What a fantastic weekend! Food in abundance, family, and faith are all essential.
Mia is doing amazingly well! Thank you so much for your thoughts and well wishes. Each one of them has been felt by us. She still has a ways to go, but in such a short period of time, she has come so far.

“Resurrection Sunday serves as a reminder that we will one day be free from all physical suffering and will live forever. Jesus gives us such great hope! She said in the captions of the pictures.
The images show Easter Sunday celebrations for the Robertson family across several generations.
Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty, also sent his granddaughter a tribute.
Robertson wrote in a tweet: “I met Mia today and told her, ‘Girl, you are lovely.'” “She is doing amazingly well two and a half weeks after her operation. I appreciate all the prayers.
Mia Robertson was born with a cleft palate, also referred to as an opening in the palate. As her father recently explained on his “Unashamed” podcast, she has had many bone graft procedures since 2012 to repair the cleft as it reopens and splits with age.

Her father, Jase Robertson, claims that the doctors had to shatter her jaws in order to move the upper jaw forward and the lower jaw back. Even worse, according to Jase Robertson, doctors are reluctant to give her any medication because “she needs to keep her wits about her” in case she chokes.
Following surgery, medical professionals made a 3D model of Mia’s mouth and jaw. They admitted that Missy and Jase did, in fact, fit that model well. Missy claimed they had already noticed encouraging signs of her healing, but it is anticipated that she will experience some swelling for around a year. For the following 12 months, she will continue to see specialists.
Missy has given followers updates on her condition and prospects since Mia’s operation. Most of it has been spent relaxing at home while playing cards, the piano, and doing other leisurely activities.

Furthermore, Robertson’s competitive nature persists even when you’re feeling under the weather. Jase recently responded to her request for card games by saying, “I don’t care if you’re sick. Missy promised in her piece, “I won’t let you win.”
According to the website, the family established the Mia Moo Foundation to support efforts to increase “awareness and finances for treatments of cleft lip and palate.”
