A creamy dessert that everyone will love!
INGREDIENTS
- 800ml (3 ¼ cup) milk;
- 8 egg yolks;
- 1 lemon (zest);
- 60g (½ cup) cornstarch;
- 180g (1 cup) sugar;
- 300g (3 cups) biscuits, crumbled;
- Powdered sugar, and pine nuts for serving.
METHOD
- Heat milk and lemon zest until it almost reaches a boiling point.
- Whisk egg yolks with cornstarch and sugar.
- Pour some hot milk into the yolks and whisk vigorously. Continue pouring milk into the yolks and whisking.
- Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, while whisking, for 10 minutes or until thick and bubbly.
- Let the cream cool down slightly, then pipe it into the glasses layering crumbled biscuits in between.
