He was one of the biggest stars, but unfortunately in recent years he suffered a lot and became unrecognizable. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing.

WRESTLING legend Kevin Sullivan died at the age of 74.

He had an accident in May that left him with a lot of problems that he never got better from.

Thursday morning, WWE announced that The Taskmaster had died. Many people paid tribute to the former World Championship Wrestling star.

Nicole, the wrestler’s daughter, said that he had a “devastating accident” in May while he was in Florida for autograph signings. Last month, his family set up a GoFundMe for him.

On the fundraiser page, Nicole wrote, “He had emergency surgery that saved his leg and life, but he had serious complications like sepsis and encephalitis.”

Kevin has been in and out of consciousness in the intensive care unit (ICU), far from home, and this sudden disaster has put a huge financial strain on his family.

“Despite these problems, Kevin has been very strong.” He is still fighting to get his freedom months later.

The fundraiser, which is no longer working, raised more than $54,000 to help pay for the family’s medical bills.

For their part, WWE said that Kevin was a “unique and influential figure in sports-entertainment history.”

THANKS COME IN

Social media is full of tributes to Sullivan from wrestling stars and fans alike.

“Kevin Sullivan had one of the most unique minds in the history of our industry, pushing creative boundaries and developing some of the most intriguing characters to step into the ring,” X’s Triple H wrote.

“He was always very interested in what we do.” I’m thinking about his family, friends, and fans.

“I’m so sorry to hear about Kevin Sullivan’s death.” Brian, may you rest in peace! You were a magnificent athlete and friend!” In what Ric Flair said.

Mark Henry, a WWE Hall of Famer, wrote, “Prayers for the family! Funeral please!”

In an update to the GoFundMe on July 15, Nicole said that Sullivan was “regaining a lot of physical strength.”

“He does physical and occupational therapy daily, with the goal and ultimate hope that he regains his independence.”

Flair talked about Sullivan in a positive way on X a day before his death was made public.

“Kevin Sullivan Has Been One Of My Closest Friends In The Business,” he wrote.

“No one knows more about sports than him, not just wrestling.” He is one of the smartest people our company has ever had.

WCW beat WWE for a year and a half, and Kevin fought famous people like Hall, Nash, The NWO, Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, The Nature Boy, and Hulk Hogan!

“Keep your strength up, Kevin!” You’re needed!”

After more than sixty years as a wrestler, the man was best known for being a WCW promoter.

Linda, Sullivan’s wife, and their four children will miss him.

His family has not yet spoken out, and it is still not clear what caused his death.
