Jamie Foxx was reportedly brought to the hospital on Tuesday in severe condition following an undisclosed incident.
The actor from Django Unchained is currently healing, according to his family, after receiving “great care” throughout therapy.
The Oscar-winning actor Corinne Foxx expressed her gratitude to the public for its support and well wishes in a statement.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, encountered a medical problem yesterday,” Corinne wrote in a message on Instagram.
Fortunately, early action and expert care have allowed him to begin his road to recovery.
“We appreciate your prayers and know how much he is loved,” said the family. The family is asking for privacy at this time. With a lot of love, the Foxx family.
While Foxx hasn’t yet responded to the matter and his family hasn’t provided any additional details on how he ended up in the hospital, the incident was reportedly a medical emergency, according to TMZ.
Jamie’s relatives, some of whom weren’t in town, reportedly visited the hospital because of how serious his condition was. The fact that he is now speaking to people is fantastic news, a source told us.
Photographers most recently captured Foxx two days ago, when he was filming in Atlanta for his most current flick, Back In Action.
Since receiving an Oscar in 2004 for his portrayal of blind musician Ray Charles in the movie Ray, the 55-year-old has seen his career take off. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Jarhead are only two of the films in which the Texas-born actor has previously appeared.
For his upcoming film, he will reunite with Cameron Diaz, who hasn’t appeared in a film since 2014’s Annie. She also worked with Jamie Foxx on that movie, who is credited with inspiring her to start acting again.
I don’t know about you, but I’m relieved that Foxx is recovering from the health crisis earlier this week.
