A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK FOR Donald Trump has died after being shot while their car was being stolen.
Mike Gill was shot by a suspect who stole several cars in Washington, DC, on Monday night. Gill was chairman of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission while Trump was president.
After being taken to the hospital, Gill’s injuries were very bad.
He was sitting in his car when the suspect got in and shot him. They then took off running.
Look at Yolanda. Douglas told The Washington Post that she saw Gill completely dead on the ground in a pool of blood, with one foot still inside the car.
Soon after, Douglas said, a woman yelled from a nearby building, “Oh my god, that’s my husband!”
WTTG, a local Fox News affiliate, says that the Metropolitan Police Department thinks the suspect then stole a Chrysler 200 and killed the owner of the car.
News outlets say that two New Carrollton police officers shot and killed the suspect early Tuesday morning, January 30.
Within a statement, Gill’s wife told WTTG that he had died.
“It is with profound sadness that I wish to inform the community of the passing of my husband, Mike Gill,” his wife said.
“His sudden death has given us a hole that can never be filled.”
“In this time of grief, we are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out to offer condolences and assistance,” said Kristina.
“Mike was a loving husband and father, but he was also a dear son, brother, and friend.” People came together because of Mike, and he made them feel welcome, supported, and loved throughout his long life.
“His heart was evident in everything he did, as demonstrated by his mentorship and deep friendships with those who worked with him professionally,” said she.
Their three kids are Sean, Brian, and Annika. Gill is married to another woman.
