The famed “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak experienced excruciating discomfort while out for a morning stroll with his daughter.
It wasn’t until hours later when he was hurried into surgery to relieve his obstructed bowel, that he realized the seriousness of the situation. Pat acknowledges that at one point he worried he would not survive.
Fortunately, a successful treatment and a month of rehabilitation have left the well-known game show host in excellent health and feeling great.
He had been laying on the bed curled up in a fetal position, in excruciating pain, and none of the medications his physicians had given him had any effect.
He was then abruptly given a medication that relieved his pain, bringing him comfort from his suffering.
Although his wife and kid were standing close by, he was surrounded by vibrant colors and could only hear them conversing in the distance.
Not morbidly, he silently reasoned that this must be how death felt.
After the therapy, Sajak was concerned about his family and depressed that they would have to deal with the consequences.
Fortunately, he emerged unscathed from the situation and discovered that he had been under the influence of medication.
He said that since the cause of his intestinal blockage had not been discovered, there was no need to take further action.

Since then, Sajak’s health has been fantastic, and he has resumed filming episodes of the show without incident.
Sajak was replaced on set by Vanna White while he was recuperating. Sajak joked in an interview that he was concerned White would take over his position permanently.
When Pat Sajak learned that his friend enjoyed planning parties, he expressed worry. However, the veteran Wheel of Fortune host continues to have faith in her ability to amuse viewers.
He is sure that he will help the participants buy vowels and add fun to the show for a very long time.
