There is a sense of sorrow in the air as the cast of John Wick 4 gets ready to appear on the edition of The Kelly Clarkson Show that will air on Thursday, March 23.
Despite this, the episode was shot before Lance Reddick’s passing. Reddick played a significant role in the film and may be visible in the broadcast version.
The devastating blow that was handed to the movie was highlighted on the NBC program’s official social media platforms next to a picture of the cast and crew at the studio.
They dedicated the show tonight with the words, “We are all terribly devastated by the demise of Lance Reddick.”
“The entire John Wick movie family, as well as Lance’s family and friends, are in our thoughts and prayers. Come join us in honoring and remembering his life today, and assist us in promoting MOMCares, the company he created.
Comments like “Very sad, sorry for his off-screen as well as on-screen family and friends” and “His performance consistently drew me to the role he played” were posted by viewers of the show. He will be missed around here.
Lance was in the middle of wrapping up press week interviews for the John Wick sequel when he sadly passed away on March 17. He was midway through these interviews when he passed away.
When the news broke, his agent at Portrait PR confirmed it and stated that he had died at the age of sixty from natural causes.
Lance studied at Yale School of Drama in the early 1980s, but it wasn’t until he played Cedric Daniels on The Wire for a total of five seasons in the 2000s that he became well-known.
He made his debut on the big screen in the character of Charon, a New York hotel concierge, in the first John Wick movie, which was released in 2014. He has had roles in other television series like Fringe as Phillip Broyles and Bosch as Chief Irvin Irving. The movie also featured Keanu Reeves as a lead.
Lance has been in each of the three sequels over the past nine years, and the March 24 release date for the fourth film is set.
