Rebel Wilson recalled the horrifying moment she learned she had no “viable embryos” in her womb.
The new mother, who recently became a parent for the first time with the help of a surrogate, spoke about the traumatic experience in a recent interview with a magazine.
Only a few days after announcing the birth of her daughter, Royce Lillian, the 42-year-old Pitch Perfect star spoke up in an honest interview.
During filming “The Almond and the Seahorse,” Rebel recalled the horrific moment she found out that the eggs she had collected had “not survived being thawed.” This information saddened her.
“At that time, despite having undergone three surgeries and significantly losing weight, I had no viable embryos. It was completely catastrophic, Rebel said.
In a People interview, she asserted that despite her failure, she “needed to keep trying” because her “want to become a mother” was “so intense.”
“It was feelings of sadness and hope, and all of those feelings played a part in my performance. It was a really tough and trying era “Was explained by her.
She told a media outlet that it was “overwhelming and thrilling” to finally be able to touch her newborn baby girl after sharing the news with her fans.
Rebel, who is presently seeing fashion designer Ramona Agruma, posted a heartfelt photo of her first child on Instagram to share with her followers.
“Beyond proud to announce the arrival of my first kid, Royce Lillian, who was delivered this last week via surrogate,” she said in the caption of a photo of her newborn. Her firstborn was Royce Lillian.
She is such a beautiful miracle that I am at a loss for words to fully describe my love for her. I want to offer my sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped us get here, as this has been in the works for a while.
But I particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate, who carried the baby and delivered it with such grace and consideration.
“I am ready to shower tiny Roycie with all the love that can be mustered,” she continued from her previous post. I am learning knowledge pretty quickly… I have the utmost respect for all mothers out there! I feel privileged to be a part of your organization. [heart-shaped emojis]” [sic]
