It has not been easy for Shannen Doherty to fight breast cancer for eight years. Recent health information she shared with her Instagram followers included the phrase “Early morning doctors visit for scans.”

Research has shown that the average longevity of patients who have been diagnosed with the disease has grown considerably as a result of technical advancements, despite the fact that metastatic breast cancer is typically fatal.
