Vanessa is the youngest of the Vega family’s children at the age of eight, with seven of her siblings older than she is.

Just a few weeks before the start of the new school year, José “Gil” Vega, her father, tragically died while serving his nation in the military.

Vanessa had no one to drive her to class on the first day of school because her father was no longer a part of her life. She found it difficult because of this and fought through it. The local Palm Springs police decided to drive the young lady there by themselves since they didn’t want her to struggle on the first day of school to acclimatize to her new environment. She resides in the Palm Springs area.

According to Sergeant William Hutchinson, the police officers wanted to take Vanessa to school so that she wouldn’t get depressed, but they were unable to make it happen.

It was made clear to the child that she had more than 12 uncles who are ready and prepared to help her in whatever way they can because she was escorted to school by more than 12 police officers.

Vanessa, who is currently enrolled in the fourth grade, was picked up from her home and driven to school by cops in a patrol car. William Hutchinson is also said to have said the following:

He said, “This is a very difficult time for her right now. We can’t just ignore it or pretend it’s not happening.” He will now have the support of an entirely new family moving ahead. They will be there for him.

Vanessa, the Vega family’s youngest member, spoke during the funeral rites. She claimed that her father, a law enforcement professional, was in charge of paying for her schooling.
