Amy Slaton and Michael Halterman, Amy’s husband, are divorcing and parting ways.
The 40-year-old Halterman filed for divorce from the 1000-pound Sisters star on March 13 in Kentucky, according to court records.
The former couple’s 2019 wedding was previously captured on camera for the TLC program, but they were previously married in a stealth ceremony in 2017.
As Slaton revealed in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the couple’s second child, Glenn Allen Halterman, was born a little over six months after the divorce petition was filed. Their son, who was born on July 5 through cesarean section, was a boy and was 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and 17.5 inches long at birth.
“The eagerly anticipated time has finally come… We are ecstatic to announce that Michael and I are parents to a son. Glenn Allen Halterman is his name. “Slaton, who was 35 at the time, revealed the incident to PEOPLE. I am now the proud mother of my two miraculous children; our family is complete. The delivery went quite smoothly.
Slaton raved about her newborn child and how much Halterman and herself he resembled in the most recent episode of “1000-Lb Sisters.”
The woman said, “My heart is overflowing.” “Ever since I was a young girl of five, I’ve wanted to be a mother, and I’ve always wanted to have two kids. Our entire family is together at this time. Once we have been completed, you can frame us and hang us on the wall.
In addition, Slaton is the mother of Gage Deon Halterman, a son they received in November 2020. Slaton is the mother of Gage Deon Halterman in addition to Glenn.
