Gunter Nezhoda, who was most known for appearing as a cast member on the popular reality television series “Storage Wars” on A&E, died suddenly on March 21 at the age of 67.
Lung cancer was the cause of death for Gunter, according to his son and fellow “Storage Wars” cast member Rene Nezhoda.
After receiving the diagnosis in September, Gunter started receiving chemotherapy. Nonetheless, the operation left holes in his lungs. It appears that Gunter had recently been scheduled for an emergency procedure, but the doctors determined that there was no treatment for his ailment.
Gunter made an overall seven “Storage Wars” appearances between the years 2015 and 2019. As an actor, he also made several film appearances, some of which included “The Haunting at Death Valley Junction.”
He played bass alongside well-known guitarists like Pat Travers, George Lynch, Leslie West, and many others, showcasing his broad spectrum of creative skills. He has worked as a professional photographer for well-known companies including Ford, Microsoft, and Big-O Tires.
With his loss, Gunter Nezhoda’s friends and family are reflecting on the beloved reality TV star’s life. Gunter Nezhoda’s son Rene recently spoke with TMZ in an interview about his father.
By remarking, “My dad was one of the contestants on ‘Storage Wars’ who was never really the subject of any anger from the other contestants,’ he expressed his gratitude to the viewers. Everyone in his vicinity, even the staff, was utterly enamored by him. The time spent working with my dad was enjoyable for everyone, and I appreciate the help. He continued by saying that he had kept his father’s medical condition a secret and that he was hoping against hope that his father would get better.
Gunter enjoyed making videos for his YouTube channel and sharing them with his audience in addition to being a skilled actor both on stage and in front of the camera. The native Austrian produced a variety of content that accompanied him as he looked for used cars, bought abandoned storage vaults, and offered guidance on topics regarded as specialized, including audiophile CD collecting.
