What was found behind his ear shocked the doctors and his parents

Although ticks themselves are not dangerous insects, the parasites they transmit can have a significant negative impact on health. For their survival, they need the blood of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and occasionally even humans.

Steph saw something was amiss with her son as soon as she walked into the room where he was sleeping.

Although Colin, her son, frequently bounces around in his room, his actions on this specific occasion were strange.

Stephanie yelled for her husband Dillon while she and her son Collin were playing in bed. Collin had been eying her from below.

Colin’s parents, Dillon and Stephanie, were shocked to learn that he had suffered paralysis the previous night when they brought him to the emergency room. They believed that the concussion was the result of his hitting his head while warming up for his brother’s baseball game.

The doctors concluded that there were no signs of a concussion due to the fact that he was able to communicate fairly well after the incident and was not experiencing any symptoms.

We had to do additional tests as Collins’ condition quickly deteriorated. Dillon’s heart ached when he noticed Collin was immobile.

When his oxygen levels started to plummet, he had to be transferred to a more advanced medical institution because he was unable to take any food or liquids.

Collin had the best tools at his disposal and was aware that every second mattered. Dillon and Stephanie both knew this.

After Collin was transferred, his parents learned that had they arrived even a minute later, their son may have experienced a cardiac arrest. After Collin was relocated, this information was discovered.

Following considerable research, it was discovered that a little tick that was hidden behind Collin’s ear was the cause of the issue.

The doctors and his parents both failed to notice it when it occurred.

He nearly instantly returned to normal when the tick was removed.

Although tick bites are very prevalent, paralysis is an uncommon condition that can be brought on by bug saliva.

According to the licensed physician, tick salivary glands contain a neurotoxic substance. This demonstrates that Collin’s bloodstream was exposed to the neurotoxic chemical that caused his paralysis while the tick was feeding on him.

Collin’s issue should serve as a lesson for parents, teaching them to be watchful of their kids’ health.
