A 40-year-old New Zealander named Scott Welsh is an avid fisherman. His son Rico, who is 12 years old, has inherited this enthusiasm from him. When they have the chance, the two go fishing with the boy’s uncle, Krunar. They fished for various unusual fish in various exotic locations.

The trio discussed their upcoming fishing excursion. They chose to travel on an ocean-going motorboat. After getting everything ready, they departed by boat in the morning for the south coast in hopes of catching some decent fish.

The three had already caught a lot of fish within a few hours, and Rico, the 12-year-old boy, was very happy. A very strong wind was coming out of the west, and the weather was starting to become worse. The men chose to head back home because they were far from the shore.

Rico stayed on deck to take in the view as Scott and Krunar navigated the boat. The boat rocked ferociously as a large wave struck it. Rico suddenly lost his footing and fell into the water. Scott and Krunar proceeded to drive the boat away from the youngster who fell into the sea since they were unaware that he had fallen.

Scott discovered Rico was missing after five minutes and immediately brought the boat back. Rico was in the water, and he could see him clearly.
The youngster drowned when they got to him because the waves made it impossible for him to stay afloat.

Scott and Krunar watched an incredible scene as he was getting ready to dive into the sea. Around Rico, a pod of killer whales was swimming.
Scott was able to catch the youngster by the hand when one of the whales submerged and pulled the boy toward the boat with her snout.

Rico was astounded, as were the two men. The 12-year-old youngster was saved by a killer whale.
“When I first saw the killer whales, I was terrified for Rico’s safety. Even if it meant my own death, I was going to jump into the ocean and save my son. I’ll never forget the scene when the whale gently pushed Rico with its enormous nose. We will always remember it as a special event.
