Latana Chai, a mother from California, recently suffered a terrible tragedy.

The unthinkable happened as she and her 7-month-old daughter Masailah were at home. Sasha, the family’s eight-month-old pit bull, is about the same size as Masailah.

Sasha started barking and scratching at the back door unexpectedly on June 3 at around midnight. She heard the dog barking incredibly loudly. She felt immediate fear. She sensed that there was a problem. The lovely four-legged member of the family was quite the contrary.

When she opened the door to see what the dog was barking at outside, she saw flames and black smoke rising from the neighboring house. Latana’s home was quickly destroyed by fire.

Animal lovers all throughout the world are now praising Sasha for her subsequent deed.

Sasha was getting close to her objective when Latana hurried upstairs to hunt for Masailah.

The family would have otherwise become engulfed in flames had Sasha’s warning not been given.
